A little late on this: Barack Obama in Berlin.
Even after two years from my 12 week stay in Berlin, it is still a city that resonates with me. Berlin is an vital city in the history the world, it has birthed and housed many of the worlds most importat artists over the past 200 years and continues to be a city that acknowleges their rich yet troublesome history as well dedication to growth. Plus there are so many amazing artists currently working in or frequenty traveling to Berlin for these same reasons. It really is a special city.
Herre is Senator Obama's speech from 6pm Berlin time in late July (thats 12:30pm EST or 9am PST)

Little video about American (and German) Obama supporters in Berlin, Germany. This video features the Oberbaumbrucke bridge which connects the boroughs of West Berlin's Kreuzberg to the former East Berlin's Friedrichshain. This symbolic bridge is located on Warschauer Strasse which is the same street I lived on for three months in the summer of 2006.

I just like this video because Germans are great. I like the part where after one man states that "No one will be free as long as man posesses land" a random guy interupts him to say hi to his Mom while the other man looks at him like a pure moron.
I'll be back in April 2009, Germany. I'll be visiting your many artists, "stalking" the ex- Seattlites that work there, going to every punk venue in the city and visiting the graves of long dead Dadaists. Can't fucking wait. 3 years is too long to be without Berlin.

But yeah, Kicks is everywhere. I remember running into him once or twice before in singles going steady.
