The hardest decision you will ever make is deciding what it is you are gonna eat. Every other decision despite it being intellectual, emotional, ethical or personal is easy by comparison. In these decisions you always know what side of the coin you want the decision to be some where in your person. "Should I stay with this person?" No, I dont think I should. "Will I hurt them to tell them this?" Yes I will. "Is it my intention to hurt them?" No it is not. "If I were to stay is there a chance I could be happy?" No there is not..therefore I will tell them that I dont want to see them any more. However if you take someone into a supermarket and simply ask, "What would you like to eat?" You can watch them for hours um and ah about all the choices. They squeeze each of the avocados, finger their way through all the different jarred pickles, smell the breads, stare endlessly at the deli shaved ham and at the end of it all will look to you and ask,"What are you going to eat." There is no harder decision than choosing what it is you wanna eat.
Bear this in mind next time you think you have a really hard decision to make...that once you have reached your decision that a really hard decision will need to be made again in what it is your going to have for lunch.
Most people dont think of life in this way..but 90% of the time we put more though and burn more grey matter deciding what is we want to eat than we do deciding some of the really 'big' decisions we think we have to make. If you can determine what your having for lunch, everything else is easy to decide...we just dont see it that way.
