It pisses me off how most women seem to think they're just like Summer in 500 Days of Summer. You definitely didn't understand the movie. The movie is about men and how we sometimes only see what we want to see. The narrator at the beginning says it best by stating that the movie is not a love story. It's just a story of boy meets girl. Summer never lead the man on. She was pretty straight with him from the get go.
The movie is also about how men are truly only in love with one woman at any given time. 500 days of Summer is about 500 days a girl named Summer was in contact with a guy. The guy was focused only on her for 500 days but they only were together a small portion of that time. 500 only references the days his thoughts were on Summer. Then he meets Autumn and the cycle starts all over again.
So I just want to point out the movie is not a love story, nor is it about a girl. It's about men.
