Two things came to mind as I sat and thought about today.
1) There are a lot of moms out there that choose not to be moms, but provide a motherly role model for others to follow. (My Sister)
2) There are a lot of moms out there that can’t be physical mothers because of their circumstances or medical issues.
3) There are moms who were just normal people who showed the leadership, love, compassion, caring, etc etc. These people may or may not have been born a woman, and yet are more of a positive motherly role to a person or group. mothering - bring up (a child) with care and affection. Is the text book definition of the word.
I’m going to wrap up this blog entry with a note to ponder over. Yes this will be the edge of another “rabbit hole” of thinking… Why does the word Mother need to carry a feminine title? Shouldn’t a father show the exact same qualities that make up what we know of as the title of “Mother”? Why should Father carry a masculine title?
That’s why I like Guardian. Not only does it sound really cool, but it’s neutral. Just a thought. Love y’all!
