Today was cool. The Goodyear Blimp has been docked outside my office since Tuesday of last week. It was in town to cover the races at Dover last weekend. They will be leaving tomorrow, but meanwhile they have been flying around down here all week doing promotional flights. I've had the chance to watch them take off and land several times. The first day I got the opportunity to get a close-up look at it.

Well today my wife and I took her grandson up to my office so he could see the blimp. It didn't fly today because tthere was too much wind. While we were taking pictures of him with the blimp in the background, the crew member on duty came over and invited us to come on inside the fence and go up in the gondola. So today I got to get in the Goodyear Blimp. I got some pictures of my step-grandson sitting in the pilot's seat. It was really special to get that first hand tour of the blimp. They'll be leaving tomorrow morning which meant that this was the last opportunity to get to see it up close. I'm hoping they come back next year for the race again.
