We're back. Wife and I have been on vacation for the past week. Got back last night. Great time. We drove over 1500 miles and saw a lot of neat stuff on the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA and NC.

Ouch, I haven't posted in almost a month. Well this one will have to be short too. I've been going hard at it six days a week this fall. Also, there have been too many late evenings. Oh well, but the paychecks have been real nice.

Slept in late this morning. Didn't get up until 6:30. I must be slipping. Another nice fall day coming up and I'm in the office with no one else around today. Maybe I'll get some stuff done.

What a week! Yesterday I had a doctor's appt that kept me out of the office for 4 hours. Then today it was go in early, and go, go, go all day and get done late. Tomorrow will be another busy day, and finally I might be able to catch my breath on Thursday and get caught up a little. That will be my first...

Tuesday already. Yesterday was a busy day, and today will be also. It's Sept. 11. I remember exactly what I was doing 6 years ago today. I want to attend the memorial service they're having in town but don't know whether I'll be able to break away from the office today. We'll see.

It was warm today. Even though I had to work, I was outside all day. I've been trying to get a little sun on my legs all summer by wearing shorts as much as possible, but I've not been able to spend that much time outside. So that has made my legs very pale. Saturday, my one day off this week. I'll spend it doing chores around the house. The lawn definitely needs to be cut. If it wasn't so damn hot I'd get out the chain saw and starting working on cutting up some firewood for the winter. Oh well, better enjoy the warm weather while I can.

It's September already! And Sunday. And I had to work today. I'll also be working for the next 15 Sundays. That's okay, I volunteered for it, and the pay is great. I should have lots of Xmas money this year.

I t looks like it's going to be raining and cool all day. That's okay. We certainly have needed the rain. I'll definitely be cutting some grass this weekend as it is starting to turn green again. I think I've got a tree that is dying from lack of rain. It will be firewood for the fireplace this winter.

Rain! It's raining! Finally, we're getting some rain. My trees are very happy. It's been soooooo dry here this summer. I've got the morning off but have to work 'til 8:00 tonight. Oh well.

It's a nice, cool day. Got the a/c turned off and the windows open. My trip to NJ yesterday was uneventful other than a little heavy traffic coming back across the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The wife and I are just taking it easy today. My kind of Sunday.
