Hey Thats me back in the game.
Currently listenin to SG podcast - only just found out about it and its top class.
Right , yesterday I was ina kinda rantish mood due to too much energy but that has def passed now and just in my usual chill mode.
So was gonna write what I got up to over the last week seeing as I didnt ave to go to work.
Well decided that as I have 6 weeks till I start my new job (seeing as I had already handed in my notice at me old job this is how long I get to chill b4 I af2 start back in the daily grind) I would take the first week as a dont do nowt constructive week.
I managed this by watchin a ton of films (including a John Hughes day - Wierd Science , Sixteen Candles and Breakfast Club) and visitin friends to get wasted - so I can def say mission for week 1 achieved.
I also picked up a couple of albums last week, I got the Donnas - Gold Medal - didnt think its as good as the previous one but hey its still growing on me and have only really listened to it a few times so far. Im also in the middle of a huge 80s phase so I got meself Dare by The Human League which I love though I have had to keep this quiet from most of my friends as this is not something to be proud of to them.
I keep trying to convince them that the 80s rocked and okay I have been through various periods where I would have probably said each of the other decades since the 50s were the best (even though I didnt experience most of them first hand) I am now adamant that the 80s is the most underated of decades especially in Britian due to our emergent indie scene coming in from the post punk stuff which had loads of good stuff going on but like its almost though this happened in the 80s but wasnt actually part of the 80s - oh gonna stop there as gettin into rant mode again.
Okay so to conclude, tomorrow begins the time of having to do stuff - cause if I dont Im never gonna be in a state to go back to work. Dunno what this is goin to be yet but it has2b positive and stuff - man I dnt stand a chance - will update on how I get on.
See ya

I'm not sure if I really remember more about the 80s since then or if I triggered latent memories or if I just made associations with things and imagined up some memories but I definitely have a more positive view on the 80s since then.
You're in SG Scotland now.
I havnt seen The Business yet but I think it will probably help fuel this passion for all things from the 80s.
It started as a nostalgia thing - remembering cartoons and toys from my youth like Transformers and Thundercats but has def moved on to other 80s things which I am discovering for the first time like the delights of Malibu and pineapple - which yeah I know is not really the kind of drink a man and especially a Scotsman should be drinking but god damn it is good and I never get a hangover no matter how much of the stuff I knock back which can only be a good thing.
I am going to leave now fearing I have said too much in a vague attempt to defend myself.
catch you later.
