i'm going to substitute teacher "orientation" in a couple hours for one of the big school districts here that i've never worked for...whoopee...

on the other hand, there's a possibility i could get a job as a farm hand on an organic farm about 70 miles out of town - that sounds more interesting...

i'm torn... confused

Great journal entry, you can set off a lot of them by pointing out that Jesus was probably a semite... for some reason the idea that their lord and saviour wasn't anglo is disturbing to them for some reaosn.

I tend to agree with your very last remark... the vegetarian bit would have been kept quiet, all hush hush! tongue

went to a talk about vegetarianism last night...this is how i spend friday nights now - i really need a job...
_risforrad:
So how was the talk? What do eat right now - what made you interested in going?

I started picking up veggie recipes a few years back when I was dealing with a bunch of food sensitivities. Now I can go for weeks on beans tofu and protein powder without even thinking about is, but I still really like having a nice steak every now and then. Plus I live in Alberta, and eating beef up here is practically considered to be a patriotic act, no matter how left wing you are.

i'm mostly vegan but i can't refuse milkl chocolate if offered...

Right on. Indulgences are important. Have you been vegan for a long time?
