Slow, slow, slow. Work goes from zero to sixty abruptly, and stays there for weeks, but it also goes from sixty to zero so fast you can bust your teeth on the steering wheel if you're not ready for it.
All our temporary instructors and support are gone, making the building seem half empty.
I have nothing to do except surf, surf, surf and recover from the 35 days/no time off sprint we just did. It's not quite winter, not quite fall, not quite anything outside except vaguely grey like it might rain, someday. Nothing happening in the sky now, though. There were rain drops on my car this morning, and the last hint of that new rain smell in the air, but now the sky is just a null set. Waiting.
