i've been searching ebay lately for vintage barbie dolls. yeah, i collect barbie dolls, and have been doing so for awhile now.

anyway, i grew up playing with my aunts' dolls whenever i visited my dad's parents, so i was sad when my grandma gave the dolls away to my aunts. i always envisioned i would be the one to get these dolls...the epitome of beautiful, sexy, and cool...the barbies of the early 60s...but it didn't appear to be so, until this past week.

i grew tired of the high prices on the barbiecollectibles site, so i decided to give ole ebay a try.

and woah, dude...there are sooo many vintage barbies for sale over there. (although i don't know why dolls from the late 70s through the 90s are listed as vintage *shrug*). i lost a bunch of auctions for ken dolls from the 50s...sorry to say, but ken looked so gay back then....his hair was way too beautiful and immaculate...and he had LIPSTICK looking lips! no wonder barbie and ken eventually split up in the new millenium.

anyway, i've now won a few auctions on a couple of dolls from '67...and i have a bid on a couple from the 50's...so wish me luck.
