This is a very interesting one thanks @missy and @rambo
For me it was the book ''The Picture of Dorian Gray''. I was a little blonde creature of like thirteen years old who was unquiet and looking for something and I was growing up since I was little in different types of Catholic schools so in a severe atmosphere not so different from the Victorian society Dorian grew up in.
When I first read the book it was like an illumination for me. As Lord Henry was explaining to Dorian how the world could have been wider and full of pleasures for him, I underwent the same bewildered realization Dorian did.
When I turned 18 my first tattoo was the name "Dorian'' on my back and since then I'm always looking for interesting ancient editions of this wonderful novel.
It literally changed my view on life and how to enjoy it at its fullest. Never killed any of my friends in the attic though, so don't worry ;)
