Thanks to everyone for the lovely birthday comments. I've felt a bit cynical about people recently but you melted it away. Give yourselves a clap.

Yeah, Im officially old but fear not, bateman isnt some cardigan wearing vegatable yet (Insert witty retort here ), within an hour of hitting 30 (see i can say it without grimacing) I was pretending I was Irish, berating people for not dancing to a song I liked, being recognised by the DJ as a pain in the ass that always asks for Interpol and then ultimately puking up after jumping off a night bus.

I didnt really enjoy the indie club this time. When me and anaphalaxis went there first time it was on a whim and worked. I've been back twice and it was like trying to re-create a good time and was a pale imitation. I need more randomness. I need a ...

...holiday.

Its on my mind a lot. I have been saving for a bit and got more money for my bday. I havent had a day's holiday all year. Everyone else seems to be on their's.

Im gonna head to USA, that much is known. Maybe once or possibly twice. I want to see Juliana Hatfield play live at a couple of places. I want to meet up with some of you crazy kids on my friend's list.

The summer prices at the moment are too high though.

So I wait.

And I save.
