hmmn...first entry into this female dominated realm.

I suppose i'll get to the banal details of my life at some point. I guess the impetus to come here and join up was more of a curiosity really. I look at it as another perspective for learning about a subculture that most likely does not get the recognition it very well merits.

I've always thought that if you want to understand a culture, you have to attempt to integrate into it to see it on different levels.

Some of my background:

I grew up in a small town which attracted a lot of tripped out but eccentric people. It is a surfing mecca, and a fishing town and tourist trap., but it is probably one of the most beautiful places on earth. Small towns force you to get inspired by your own sensibility of creative thinking. So....we surfed, got high, dropped a lot of acid, read books, had bonfire philosphical chats, and fucked (and that was sunday night! haha)

Anyway, i'm a professional student, but i'm off for a year to work in research, and then i hit the books hard again in Sept 2005.

I love this site,, and might stick around beyond my 1 month membership...i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Regardless, I am really impressed by the work everyone has done with this site, and the community in general.
