Aloha!
I'm feelign great! Thanks for the kind words after the car accident I was in. It was nothing really, but the kind words are appreciated.
I'm in the "friend zone" with Annik. She and i are lovely together, but I don't think she's ready to dive into another relationship after just getting out of one. I'm not sure if I want to either but it's so amazing that genuinely good feelings about someone else can happen. Despite the selfishly reinforced love pangs it truly is a gift that I can feel so strongly about her and be cool enough to not put any pressure on her. I suppose that if it is meant to be it will happen, but it doesn't look like it will anytime soon. That's ok. I just will maintain my cool and see what happens.
On another note, I am up for a research position in neurology. YAY! I suspect that the competition will be fierce, but I at least appreciate being selected to try and sell myself for the position. Research can be looked at in a stuffy boring esoteric context, and at times it is. However, when you gain soem knowledge and have the opportunity to share it, it can be one of the most rewarding experiences out there.
My re-entrance into the vegetarian domain is going quite well. I don't even have the urge to cheat! YAY! I'm doing it primarily for health reasons. I'm not ill or anything, but life is about making changes for the better, and my diet was very poor at best. I'm not stressing at all! In fact, it is allowign me to experiment with my spices again.
My pot usage is pretty much nil. I quit smoking pot because I was stoned all the time pretty much. it usually takes me about 3 days to lose any cravings for it (i'm on day 2). It wasn't getting in the way of me doign anythign really, and my GPA was very high, but it had become routine...and routine bores me. Annik and I decided we'd get high together for special occasions, which was shocking because she doesnt' really smoke pot at all anyway.
Off to do some homework!
YAY!!!
David

I also wanted to wish you good luck with the research job. Seems like you've got a pretty heavy career. Professional and all that.
