It is official, I will be moving to a downtown office in November. Away from the Clinic I've worked in for over 20 years. I'll still be working for the same clinic, but I'll be able to focus on totally on Finance.
It was my choice and I requested it for several reasons, not the least of which is to get away from the rather intense individual who runs the place. Just don't want to deal with his temper tantrums and bad moods anymore. 20 and 1/2 years is enough time to work with someone, I think. It was either that or quit, but it'll be sort of like starting a new job anyway. Plus I'll have an office on the 18th or 19th floor of a building, which'll be cool.
And there's an East Indian restaurant that I frequent fairly often in the building too. And Shannons is right next door. It'll be difficult getting used to dealing with rush hour traffic, since I presently live 5 minutes away from work. It's only an extra 15 minutes though. And it has subsidized indoor parking.
Here's hoping things go well.
Also, as a point of interest to no one but myself, my cat is hiding from me right now because I'm trying to give him his fluid injections. I gave him the first one in the living room, went back to the kitchen to refill the syringe and he booted it out of the living room through the kitchen and down into the basement. He really hates those needles now. He used to not mind them so much. His next vet appointment is next Wednesday.

And um.....do I just stare at Bam Margera on the TV? That would be telling. muhahahahaha.....
That's awesome that you got the transfer, though the traffic aspect of it stinks! I haven't had Indian food since I lived in California, and DAMN I crave it sometimes. It's so yummy and spicey and yummy and mmmmm.....goes well with the inevitable Maalox I have to take after eating it too.
Awww....poor putty. They know it's for their own good, they just like watching you run around with a syringe, hoping you'll trip, fall, and inject yourself. Cats are evil like that.
