DVD sets I received in the mail this week:
The Amazing Race, Season 1
The Naked City, Volume 1
Have Gun - Will Travel, Season 2
Lon Chaney Collection, featuring 'The Ace of Hearts', 'Laugh, Clown, Laugh' and 'The Unknown'
I was supposed to have received the Val Lewton Collection this week, but it has apparently been delayed.
It seems like I won't stop buying until I've purchased every tv series that has ever been released on DVD. Of course, there are a number that I don't think I'd ever even consider buying, for example, The OC.
I'm still feeling a little depressed about that funeral I went to earlier this week. It was the father of an old friend (and for a while, girlfriend) of mine. Died in his sleep at 73. I keep thinking about my mom and how noticibly frailer she's gotten in the last three months and how she goes through these awful stomach pains all the time. Chemo's not a pleasant thing. As she says, it sucks having cancer.
She's still got her wit and her wits about her, so that's a good thing. We do laugh a lot when I head over there every Saturday. I'm thinking I should start going over there even more often.
But tonight Jenn has a show, so I'll be heading out to that.

I notice a gaping absence from your DVD purchases... No Big Bro seasons???
Amazing Race, season 1... was that the one with "Team Guido" and their matching outfits? MAN, those two made me CRRRAZY. I used to be so psycho about AR... I'd shout at the tv and get upset when the episode ended. Such good tv.
I hope you are well, Sweets. I miss our chats. Hopefully I'll be back online sooner than later.
I loved those NYers. I have mad love for NY boys and their out-spoken-ness(?)... Not to mention those cute accents. I didn't know they made an appearance on the most recent season!?! Have you been watching AR Family Edition? It's pretty fantastic as well.
