Today I'd like to discuss retail cashiers who feel a need to carry on a conversation with a co-worker or a friend while they're serving you, sort of like you're not really there. Between those types and the miserable ones out there, it's really depressing shopping some days. I guess the fact that the pay isn't great in some of those places gives them the justification. The best is when they throw your debit card back at you, rather than handing it to you. I can't imagine ever doing that back when I worked retail.

Nobody's nice anymore, on either side of the counter. Maybe it's been some time since you've worked retail, but not so long for me. Customers demand more and more, yet they treat you as if you're not fit to wipe their arse, or like a mental midget.
I hate that!
Grrrr....arg
GAH!
