This week is all about my pride and joy, Appa π
This big 2 year old, weighing a whooping 125 lbs (he weighs more than I do!! π) is a Great Pyrenees, Australian Cattle Dog, and Australian Shephard mix and is my Sonshine π
I've never been as close to an animal as I am with my Appa-Bear. I spent the first 6 months with him training until exhaustion, but it was so worth it! Ive never met a dog with as much personality, stubbornness, intelligence, and grace(maybe he got it from his Momma π) He's the most happy-go-lucky dog. He can make friends with anyone, even the grumpy dogs at the park or people who dont like dogs. He's pretty great.
Our typical day is usually pretty boring unless its bath day because he's so darn big, we have to go to a place to do it!! With bath day usually comes a long play at the dog park before hand and a little doggy muffin after. Hes so spoiled! Even when we dont go out its a day full of playing in the yard, bones, and PETS π
You may be wondering where the name Appa comes from. It's actually a really cool story!
So when I first met Appa on the ranch he was born on, I visited him every weekend for a whole 2 months before I could take him home. I really wanted to get to know him and understand his personality. It was between about 5 names..... I was on a big Avatar the Last Airbender cartoon kick so most of them for from that π. So with some google searches I can across a picture that looked like my new puppy. Lets see if you think so π
So there it is, Appa finally got a name. And let me tell you! If you've never seen the show, he is just like the character. Loyal, loves the crap out of me, likes to huff and puff, and is there for me through everything.
I hope you had fun getting to know my Appa a little bit. πβ€.
I could go on for days about my manπ
Tell me about your pets! ππ
Cheers friends.
