So my second semester of what should be my Sophomore year in college has come to a close. I thought it would be interesting to share with you guys one of my assignments specifically since it can apply to this website. I had to take a one credit bullshit writing class this semester. In summary, we discussed politics, opinions, and wrote about articles and such. Though my final paper was the only one I didn't mind writing. I chose to write about the misconceptions and discriminations of tattoos. I spoke about the history of tattooing, how it has transformed into an art form, court cases dealing with employee dress codes and so on. I incorporated an article written about JaylinSuicide. (She hasn't been active for a while now) None the less, I used SuicideGirls as an example of how much the tattoo industry has changed. And even more so how it's empowering women like me or on this site, hell all around the world. I just really love this community, I couldn't help myself. On a side note, I know for me personally art keeps me positive, entertained, and even confident. As an artist I can appreciate tattooing for what it has become. Getting tattooed is like a stress release for me and also the time for me to focus on myself. To "normal" people it must sound extremel odd, but I never said I was ordinary.
