Today has been interesting. At 10:30 I was sent out to a trade show at UBC to snake business cards from prospective advertisers. A shuttle was to transport people from Canada Place to UBC every half hour.
As I am waiting for this shuttle (that nobody knew about) a strange guy comes up tome. In his hand he is holding a copy of "Spin magazine with a picture of U2 on the cover. He asks me what I am doing and then says, Edge from U2 is coming out of the hotel (Pan Pacific) could you ask him to sign the magazine? I said alright and asked why couldnt he do it him self. He says, His body guard doesnt like me. The guy hands me his magazine, a black marker and then steps away from me (about 6 feet away from me).
The body guard comes up to me and says Edge wont sign it from him. So, I turn to the guy and say, Sorry. He wont sign it. As I hand him back the magazine a bell hop comes and says, You can move the car to the body guard. The body guard gets into the car and then out came Edge from U2. He walked out of the hotel was about 2 feet away from me and got into the car. I looked at him and said to myself, Humm. I thought he would be taller. As soon as my thought was gone the car drove off.
In the end the shuttle never came it was 11:30 and I decided to catch a bus to UBC.

That is the second person to come out to UBC without saying hi. I am starting to feel snubbed.
