Last night dreamt that I was writing songs with Morrissey the former lead singer of The Smiths. The songs were great! While this dream was going on my subconscious self told "me" to wake up so, I could write it down. In my dream I knew I was dreaming. There wasn't any confusion about the reality I was in.
I have had quite a few dreams about collaborating with established songwriters and musicians. In my dreams I have worked with the Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Sting, Blondie, U2, David Bowie and Bob Dylan.
The dream with Bob Dylan is the strangest one out of them all. This dream happened last summer. I can't remember the body of the dream. At the end of it I was in his kitchen, he is cooking me scrambled eggs and we were wearing white bathrobes. He was telling me about the album that brought him the most personal pain. I can't remember the name of the album. The album cover is a wine color in the background with his picture on the front. Anyway, as he is cooking me eggs he kept telling me not to worry about my writer's block. He assured me I would be able to write when the time comes.
I have to "ask"? "How soon is now?"

God I wish I could remember my dreams more often. Those creative workshop dreams are awesome.
But I'll tell you one thing: that's the last time I drink moonshine out of a bedpan.
