I arrived in Winnipeg Thursday morning at 12:35 a.m. The flight was great! I met a cool chick who is a hair stylist, a guy from Vancouver who has a possible job prospect for me and one of the flight attendants was an old friend of mine from back home. As we exited the plane I could feel the chill from the Winnipeg wind.
My brother and sister were waiting for me and it was so good to see them. With all of the stress I have been going through as of lately seeing my brother and sister took a lot of weight from my shoulders.
When we finally arrived at my parents house my mom had been waiting for hours. When she came to greet me at the door I felt so happy to see her. I could feel my eyes fill up with tears. My father was in bed (he he had a heart attact over a week ago) so I didn't wake him.
The next day I woke up and my father was making breakfast for me. He looked a lot healthier than I though he would. In a few weeks he will be seeing a doctor again to see if the treatment he has been on is working or not. There is still a chance that he will have to go under the knife in 2006.
Thursday night was had to be about -30 degrees with a Wind Chill factor of 2100. I wanted to stay in but, my it was my niece's Christmas concert and I wanted to see her sing in the choir. Her class was the second. When I saw her on that stage she reminded me of me when I was her age. She looked like and sounded like an Angel......you know like I do
.
After the concert my niece wanted to have a slumber party with me. My sister grabbed her stuff and we all came back to my parents house. My sister dropped my niece off and her and I proceeded to have a great time together. That little girl has quite an imagination.
Friday my niece and I decided to brave the cold and we played in the snow all afternoon. We tried to build a fort, made snow angels and dug holes to see if we could find the ground. She and I had a blast!
That evening I called a couple of friends and we decided that I should have a "Tour of the Peg". We went to a few clubs, bars and pubs. Every where we went I would run into people I have not seen in years. I have to say I can't drink like use to.
Last night my best friend and I hit the clubs again. I have to say her and I are a couple of crazy girls. We acted like we were 18 all over again.
I am glad I am home with my friends and family.

I know what you mean about the cold though.....i'm originally from Vancouver Island, and just moved from Vancouver.
I figured out that it is much easier to just surrender to nature though.....you can't beat it.
D
have a Merry Xmas....
