So I went on to Model Mayhem and had a photographer critique my portfolio.
2,3,and 4 work best for you......I find the background competing with you too much in others and several have unflattering angles making you look short and dumpy. Especially the leaning over shots........and for the love of God, get ride of the snapshots on the lower rows, they have no place here if you want to be taken seriously by any pro wanting to shoot you. You also need a good headshot with eye contact. I'd only use what is good even if it's down to 3-5 images, a portfolio isn;t meant to be built with 1 or 2 shoots, be selective and really think about what helps you and what doesn't........like the far away shots do nothing to show you. Hope this helps!
I swear he hated the pics that I hated. And he made a comment about me not having any headshots...Curious Tomcat mentioned this in a previous blog. I like close ups of my face but have yet to see a pic from a photog that does just this. I'm still waiting for pics from Rico, and I hope he at least has one. If not, I'm going to track down a photog or pay for one. Or just say fuck it and move out to the East or West Coast...or maybe out of this country.
