Hey folks ❤️ Summer is officially over - at least here in the North of Italy: air is crispier, rain started visiting us more often, days are definitely shorter. And I like it! 🍂🍁
Summer was amazing though!
The Rain - the hard rock band I dance on stage with - won a contest and I had the incredible chance to dance on stage at Wacken Open Air in Germany, probably the biggest hard rock and metal festival in Europe 😍
It was a blast! We had to survive 17+ hours on a van in order to reach the place from Italy, but it worthed! I don't think I'll get to live something like that once again: being treated like stars, endless beer supply, hot towels, sharing the backstage with music legends like the Korn, the Scorpions, the Amon Amarath, the 69 Eyes, the Baroness... I just can't believe it happened!
Wacken Open Air wasn't the only gig I had the pleasure to perform at, look at me rocking on stage near my hometown here:
Slaaaaay! Right? 😜
After a couple months of live gigs and dance events, I took a plane to Crete and enjoyed a week of the bluest sea, trekking to secluted beaches, juicy fruits and tasty food. It was my first time in Greece and I predictably fell in love!
Last pic is Sammaria Gorges, a 20km trail from the mountains to the Lybian sea.
Once back home, I hopped on my gravel bike and had a 3 days adventure cycling all around Garda Lake, in the North of Italy. We rided all days and slept in a tent.
I paid an heavy pledge since I don't like training resistence and I never do my cardio homework 😅 but it was fun!
I'm very happy with what I did this summer. It was and it still is a tough year work-wise, I truly needed to unwind and enjoy my time off.
What have you been up to lately? Tell my about your summer adventures!
XO Lauretta
