Hey love birds 🐦
Every time I promise to be more consistent with blogging on here, and every time I fail badly 😅 Bear with your girl!
The first six months of this year have gone so fast, I can't believe it's July already! But then going back to all of what I have accomplished and achieved, it makes more sense: actually, I've lived these first 182 days to the fulles!
I've competed in two international exotic pole dance contest, ranking 5th and 4th among almost 25 dancers 😍
This was me out of the venue in Switzerland, where the last competition took place. I had su much fun!
I'm already working on what's next as I'll be competing again this autumn: I'd love to be as ready as I was this year when I approached the competitions. Unfortunately I'm feeling like I'm going through a "dry spell" and I'm struggling with creating a new choreography 😣
Anyone got tips on how to get out of these creative blocks?
On a different note, after 2 years of working my ass off, my boss promised me a pay rise before the end of this year. Nothing huge but I appreciated the fact he had taken this decision before I even asked for it - it shows he noticed I was doing good and knew I was deserving it.
Being noticed, being "seen". It's something I'm working on with my therapist as it's okay to seek validazion but it really depends on where it leads you - this resonates with me a lot. That's why somehow I look down on myself for being that excited or proud when someone judges me in a good way - I shouldn't care that much about what people say, no matter if they're saying something good.
Well... nevermind!
Spring has gifted me a beautiful weekend in my favourite place in the world, the Dolomiti. I went with my family and we hiked along the pathways we used to hike when my brother and I were little kids. I loved it!
I'll be back there in two weeks and I cannot wait! I swear I could leave pretty much everything to just live there 😍
Spring also brought back big live events! I went to see 30 Seconds to Mars in Bologna at the end of May - even babe @brunhild was there (and waaaay closer than me to Jared Leto, I was so jealous ahah!) but we couldn't meet each other in the crowd.
After a couple of weeks I went in Milano to finally see live one of my all-time favourite bands: Green Day. They were amazing and gave us a great show, playing 2 whole albums (Dookie and American Idiot) and several other songs from different times. I had the time of my life singing, screaming, jumping and crying too. It's always amazing realising how many intense emotions live music makes you feel.
Still waiting for longer holidays: I'll enjoy the Greek sea in August and until then, I'll just try to survive another Italian hot summer.
Do you have any plan for the months ahead? Any holiday planned?
Let's keep in touch ✨️
