Yesterday I was a bit too busy with a BBQ first and then with an hangover to even get near my laptop, but it was 10 years since I went pink! 🎀🎉
I remember so well following SuicideGirls page on MySpace (feelin' old yet?), getting in touch with the Staff, being in Rome and shooting with an incredibly easy-going @andrealaz who managed to make me feel comfortable and sexy in front of her camera.
I was so young and I had just started modeling, I think she had to direct me into some of the poses too. I remember standing naked near the window and blushing and getting nervous for some people staring at us LOL
At that time alternative modeling wasn't as socially acceptable as it is nowadays and I had to go through some rough time not just with my parents, but also with some of the people I used to consider friends: some of them just needed to get educated about it, others just revealed their value to me that way 🤷(never missed them, though!).
SuicideGirls taught me to stand for what I considered right for me, no matter if anyone else found it "offensive" or "bad".
With SuicideGirls I discovered a supportive, open-minded and sex positive community which has been by my side all through these years of growing up and I can say it played an important role in the developing of the woman I am now.
I've been taught how to accept and actually love my body.
I've learnt not to be ashamed of how I look, what I like, what I look for and crave.
I've found online friends with whom I've shared similar - and different - points of view on pretty much anything.
But most of all, SuicideGirls has given me the chance to meet new people!
I've met incredibly talented photographers with whom I created beautiful artsy pictures, some of them have become close friends and every time we shoot we do magic! ✨
I've met several members through these ten years and all of them have showed me love, respect and support in such an heart warming way!
On here I've met some of the most incredible girls - some of them have become true friends, almost sisters, with whom I shared the highs and the lows of this crazy crazy life. All the partying, the laughters, the hours spend on trains and planes, the crying and the cuddling, the shared wardrobes... none of this would have been possible without the SuicideGirls community!
Here on SuicideGirls I've found one of my favourite human being, my lil' sister @lilyt who happened to celebrate her b-day the same exact day in which I celebrate my SG Anniversary! If this isn't a sign, I don't know what else it is!
We got to know each other during a shoot fest in France and I immediately recognized my younger self in her - except for the fact she's smarter than I was and definitely hotter! We discovered ourselves to be sharing similar points of view on major topics, plus we're definitely a party army together.
Btw, go wish my babe an happy belated b-day! If I know her a little, she'll be recovering from an hangover just like I'm doing! ✨💕
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed all the stories when I've highlighted all the 21 sets I've shot for the sites, 13 of them got on the front page! Going through the pictures I've noticed all the lil' details that has changed, my posing abilities improved, growing self-confidence... it's been cool but also kind of bittersweet.
I'm so happy of being still on here, still enjoying shooting with talented people, still having fun with my gals and welcoming and supporting all the new amazing babes who are gracing the front page these days.
