Hola my friends! Beer belly, anyone? 🍺
How this new year has been treating you so far?
I usually don't believe in January's resolutions but this year, for the first time, I've set some goals for myself - and no, they have nothing to do with eating better, getting fitter or improve some particular skill.
I'm not here to talk about my age (I'm a lady, so don't ask eheh), but I've come to that point of life when you understand you can't take anythings for granted, especially time - mine and others'.
Also, I'm feeling like all these years I've become overly attached to "material possessions", too much worried about money and what I can or cannot buy. Basically, stressing on stuff I'm gonna leave behind sooner or later.
So I'm focusing on taking my time, enjoying the sunrise while I drive to work, taking a break and drinking fresh juice at the window, talking less and listening more. It may sounds silly but it's far from being easy.
Lately, I'm finding myself more meditative and someway melancholy, but I like dwelling in it.
But let's get back to less serious notes! Working during Christmas holidays has given me the chance to travel in January ✈️
The dude and I went to snowboarding in Pampeago, a beautiful place on the Dolomiti mountains famous for the long and wide slopes, the incredibly equipped park and the aprés-ski, where to drink and party till late (which - in mountain timetable - means 6 p.m. :D ).
We stayed in a nice hotel near the lifts, with the swimming pool and the spa too... for the first time in my life I enjoyed a real relaxing massage, it felt so good I almost fell asleep ahah!
The board I received from my dude on Christmas (DC's Biddy, for those who ride) ended up to be absolutely badass, I can say I improved a lot just by upgrading my equipment.
No filters needed in the pic:
Fun on the snow, good food, a glass of wine before the fireplace, making love under the duvet: I needed that time and got back home recharged!
Before the end of the month, I went to visit a friend of mine in Valladolid, Spain (not too far from Madrid). I was a bit anxious since I'm not used to travel abroad all alone, Madrid-Barajas is a rather messy airport and I had to take a bus to reach my girlfriend's town late at night.
Well, I did it and it made me feel proud :)
Needless to say, we spent our days tipsy and our night partying, drinking gin-lemon and fooling around ♥
There's a University in Valladolid, so every night there are students and people staying up till late: I arrived at 1 a.m. on Thursday and my friend took me out for a beer as every pub on the street was still open.
Cate is one of my best friends, the amount of things we went through is crazy and it's not easy dealing with her being far away, but I'm more than happy to see how she's creating a new life for herself in Spain, fulfilling her dreams. I'm going to get back to her later this summer, for sure!
Oh, and guess who I met in Bologna the day I left for Spain?! Our great @r_girardi
so... well... expect something exciting soon ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
And while waiting, you should definitely take a look at Pure with the beautiful @zenit shot by @mel_andthebeast, now in MR. P.S. It's HOTTTTT!
Also, I had the chance to meet this young lady at Milano Tattoo Convention last week, and let me tell you she's not only a pretty face with a body to die for: she's interesting, witty and a real Potterhead! Now go love her!
Time to go now, but I'm going to update again soon. Let's keep in touch.
