*sigh*
there's really nothing that compares to waking up after a very short sleep, feeling mildly hungover, but knowing that you had an amazing fucking time the night before. it makes the headache and dizziness seem easier to bear. and also i have coffee and extra strength advil liqui-gels for migraines on hand which will soon be kicking in....there it goes.
so i went to a "come as your favourite cartoon character" party last night. sadly, i'm not very ambitious when it comes to costumes. so i ended up going as enid from ghost world. i had my zombie shirt, a leopard print skirt, some fishnets and a pair of sunglasses that i knocked the lenses out of. top that off with some red lipstick, and i think i did an admirable job considering i had about an hour to complete my costume before i left. i was kinda disappointed cuz no one could guess my costume. but when they asked and i told them, i could see the gears grinding in their heads and then: sudden, dawning recognition. "oooooohhhhh! riiiiiight!!! cool."
philistines...
but i was fortunate to meet an extremely cool guy. he had two labret piercings, and a killer red afro. plus a rad 1970's plaid suit. we talked sorta on and off for the beginning of the night and then at one point, the girl i had come with disappeared, and he just sat himself down next to me on the stairs and struck up a conversation with me...and it didn't end until about six o'clock in the morning. there were little interruptions every now and then. y'know, drunk people staring down my shirt or bathroom breaks or helping overly drunk girls fill coke bottles with water so they don't die of alcohol poisoning. but other than that, we just sat all night and talked and drank, but still maintained a certain level of sobriety, so it didn't just dissolve into sloppy, drunken makeouts. and for once, i'm really glad of that. he was too cool of a guy just to be a one night stand.
so he gave me his number and he wants to go out for coffee sometime. i really wanna call him now, but i'm not used to this whole scenario. plus he has school all week, so seeing him during the week will be a little bit hard to swing.
when should i call him, oh wise sages of sg? should i wait a few days so i don't appear too eager, or what? oh, how i wish i had given him my number instead. i'd rather wait for a call than sit with the phone off the hook listening to a dial tone getting increasingly nervous....
clearly, i suck.
