i really wish i could draw.
why? you ask.
well, lately, i've been battling another bout of my oh so delightful insomnia. and when you can't sleep, and there's nothing good on, you get to spend some good quality time with your brain. and i've come up with two rather interesting ideas for comics/graphic novels... or short film perhaps. but i must warn you, they did come from my brain which means that they're going to be incredibly odd/food related. beware....
idea one:
this idea came to me when i was at work and i was incredibly bored. so i drew this little doodle of two happy little spheres. i drew little hearts around them to imply an aura of ridiculous cuteness and purity. i abandoned the drawing for a while, then later i drew a pie gliding down on a rainbow. and to me it looked like the spheres were summoning the pie from some kind of beautiful happy pie dimension. so underneath, i wrote "all hail the happy spheres: the benevolent bringers of pie. so i started thinking. perhaps these happy spheres have an enemy....the angry cubes!!! and then i tried to think of what the cubes would bring...but what is the opposite of pie? what i ask you? then i figured the best idea was that the cubes wouldn't be the bringers of anything, but they would be the malevolent thwarters of pie!!! they hate the happy spheres and their delicious pie and wish to rule over earth with an iron fist of pie-less tyranny.
now this is just a rough idea. i can't wait until genius inspiration strikes me again.
idea two:
a guy named steve works a dead end job at a grocery store. he works in the deli slicing meat and assembling sammiches. one day he notices an unusually large picnic ham in the back. according to his higher ups, that ham has been there for weeks and shown no signs of spoilage. they're afraid to sell it...and for some reason, equally afraid to throw it out. so steve takes the ham home. and i think you all know how this will go. steve realizes that the ham is actually a guy named roy, reincarnated as a ham to attone for the sins of his past life. my question to you, my loyal readers is: should steve fall in love with the ham, or should they combine their investigative powers and solve mysteries? or both?
why? you ask.

I don't mean to shit on your riff... But... It's a grade-school racism video where Squares go to war with Cubes.
Check it out.
also, the sphere idea is fucking cool. invest in some markers and make a comic. DO IT!
