No, I am not what you would consider a "Trekkie". I am, however, a fan of Sci fi movies and show. That being said. I just finished watching all 7 seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have been watching them almost everyday for the past couple of months and have enjoyed every one of them. Great show that speaks to far more than just SciFi. It spoke very much and very well to the human condition.
The variation of races and species and the acceptance of everyone was a common characteristic of a lot of the episodes. Little known fact... Martin Luther King once told one of the cast that Star Trek was one of the only shows that he would allow his children to watch.
