I didn't want to say anything until I was absolutely sure but yeah, I just finished my first day at the job. It was really cool and I think I may be there for the duration of my stay in sin city. Yay!
I've had a real bizzarre kinda night. I've been spacing out really badly since I got off of work two hours ago. I just sort of become fixated on something (a sundae, some guys liberty spikes, fingernails) and my mind blanks out. Then out of nowhere I kinda jerk awake and become aware of all the world around me. Chock another one up for the surreal occurances of Las Vegas.
Truth time. Before coming down here I was living paycheck to paycheck. I know thats not good, but it's the case for a ton of Americans. To make the move and live down here I've sold almost everything I have of value, and mooched off of family for a few weeks proceeding the move. Well now I'm down here and finally working. It's taught me something. I can NOT go back to living check to check. It kills your fucking soul. So since my cost of living has increased by about 70%( I had a sweet deal in that hotel room in Michigan) I've really got to control my spending. Also breaking even is not enough. I've got to save up some loot.
Here's the plan. Work as much OT as my job will give me. Cheap-o smokes ( yeah, I know ). Since I havn't that many friends down here I can save alot by squashing the social life(Big expense in Michigan). And finally, most sadly, way chill the musical purchases. On that note I give you the following listening reccomendations. The National, Saturday Looks Good to Me, and Stylex.
Living for the moment is all cool and what, but being poor and hungry will make you do some shady shit. Take it from Daddybear Dave and watch yourself on this.

You could save even more by moving back to Michigan.
