I was just listening to Smashing Pumpkins "melancholy and the infinate sadness." I've wanted this album since it came out but had never bought it, until i found it used a few weeks ago. Damn that is one good album. Go listen to it again, I'll wait.........
I was just reading in yesterdays USA TODAY how being a geek is now cool. Front page of the lifestyles section. First they put punk there, and now geeks. If all the things I dig are so damn hip where are all my dates, and my fat ass paying job?
I've been a gun control advocate for some time now. I'm reading a book though that has me reconsidering some of my views on the topic. The book is called "Negros With Guns". It was written in 1962 by Robert F. Williams, a black ex-marine who advocated his neigbors arm themselves against the hostility they faced during the civil rights movement in Monroe North Carolina. It was lent to me by the Authors grandson, a friend of my brothers. I'm still reading it but encourage anyone interested in either civil rights or gun control issues to check it out.
P-E-O-P-L-E one love (teehee)

That IS a great album. I listened to it about a month ago and realized I hadn't listened to it since 1996. Such memories...
