Past couple of days, new job info, new chick info, worries about elderly family members, and more....
Well, Thursday went ok, albeit slowly. Arrived at Cognisa headquarters in Atl for training at 9 a.m., woke up that morning about 5:30. Watched some poorly acted videos about procedures, and failed to stifle laughter, but I wasn't the only one so that's good. Six hours later, took the test, and missed one question out of 50. Felt really bad for some of the people in there. During the course of the day I:
Saw a woman of 40 who behaved like a child and could not spell her middle name.
Laughed at horrible acting and scenarios.
Had racist thoughts forced into my innocent mind because of my classmates and coworkers.
Felt afraid for the companies hiring people like the woman aforementioned.
Was bored out of my mind.
Should have been home by 2, even in traffic, but did not get home until 8 that evening or after.
I was looking forward to trying to see The Showdown that night, but couldn't possibly have made it. Then, I later was told they didn't make it either, so I didn't miss much. Fortunately, they are coming back at the end of the month somewhere in Ga, and I fully intend to see them. I set up my uniform delivery and secured my position in the Fayetteville Pavillion and possibly sometimes in PTC's Avenue for some extra cash, and figured benefits and taxes and all that out. There was almost a scare about me not working there, because they idiots thought I had 3 driving citations within the past 3 years. If you have that or more, you cannot work on any security sites that require you driving the company truck, which severely limits both location and pay for me. I fought them and argued my point dispite eyes rolled and exsasperhated sighs from having to do their jobs (heaven forbid), and in the end they admitted their mistakes and said I didn't have that many citations, someone read something wrong on the computer. Got home, ate, read some WoT, and crashed.
Friday morning I went out and got Devil May Cry 3. That game is brilliant but very, very difficult even on Normal. I highly suggest it to even casual gamers, great story, good, solid gameplay, very addictive and oozes cool like you know Dante can. Anywho, set out for Atl for the fifth time in the past two weeks (damn gas prices going up!), to give them my checking information. See, they don't issue paper checks, you have to be paid directly into your checking account. But that works, because I don't have to cash anything or worry about making it to the banks on time anymore. I just go to my account and withdraw the cash. So, got that worked out, and was told to come back AGAIN Monday IF they get my uniform in by then. I then got some really bad news about my Grandmother in PTC. She's got something wrong with her heart, and no one knows what. She goes into the hospital on Wed. This is very hard on my family, because she's also been taking care of my Granddad who recently had problems the past year medically. We're all very worried about both of them, and this coming week is not going to be a pleasant one for anyone in my family. I hope everything works out well. There is more to it, but I don't feel like typing it all out, or talking about it for that matter.
Friday evening I went out on my fourth date with Sage, the girl I met last week at a party. She is going back home 3000 miles away this weekend, but I figured what the hell, have fun while you can, and she was all for another date. We saw Constantine (my second time, her first), and then came back to my apartment and hung out until around 3 in the morning, when she had to get back to her friend's to pack. I had a very good time with her and will miss her, but neither of us could get too attached, as we only had a week together to hang anyway. All we've really been doing is hanging out at one or the other's dwellings and talking and doing what not, but I felt a nice connection with her I don't often feel so quickly with a girl. Needless to say, it will suck to see her go away, most likely forever, but such is life.
Today, I slept in late, which sucks because I'm all groggy. I'm used to just sleeping 5 or 6 hours a night and being up with the sun the past few weeks. I gotta find some grub somewhere and see what's going on with family. Hopefully I can see a couple of friends today (tonight), and tomorrow I know for sure I am going to see grandparents with my folks in tow. Wed. might be the last day we see my Grandmother alive if the surgery fails (and it has a 45% chance of failure if not more in women her age), so it will be a hard time on everyone, and strange at that, akward I suppose. You don't want to address such things, but at the same time you do. Make peace, you know. She is a wonderful woman. Then, Monday, I should be getting my schedule as a Security Officer, wish me luck on that. I am also going with my Dad to shoot his new Glock .40 he got a few weeks back. And I might bring my 357 as well, to get a better feel on it.
Sorry for the long assed entry. If you read the whole thing, thanks. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
The music lately has been Celldweller, with In Flames, rounded nicely up by Queens of the Stoneage.
