i hit a rabbit on my way home from the DUI class today. This class is kinda sweet. deff learning alot of stuff, but nothing that will really stop me from becoming and acoholic or even wanting to use drugs. But, this rabbit what the double F. dude this thing is going across the street and i see it ok. so i keep driving an all, and then bam it turns around running back at me. yeah i did serve a lil. i was on a windy corner on this highway with gardwrails on my side, so there was not much room for me to move about. sadly the rabbit ran into my tire, and well now is DEAD!
silly rabbit.
so, then i keep on driving and thinking. driving normal but just thinking about what just happened. iv never hit a rabbit before. This was all new for me. my mind started to think about me picking up the rabbit to bring home for dinner or something. Then i thought about disease in the rabbit and was like meehhh maybe not. But, then i was thinking about a other animal, hopfully this fox i have seen on that rd before.
a lil interuption here about this fox. well i was coming back from snowboarding at this mountain. this 32 mile highway separates my town from conway. basicly up and over a mountain the highway goes. well i was coming back from this one mount on the other side. It was a nasty storm that had turned to ice and stuff. this is also right after i just got this car and did not have snowtires on it. yeah! with snow and ice now falling, i am trying to drive up over this mountain without snowtires. Not doing so well if you can imagine. Well i get stuck and cant go anyfurther. i do not try and keep going. i give it a couple trys. i mean i back up a couple of miles in my tracks and try to get a run at it. well all fails and i am stuck having to turn around because i cant make it up over the mountain. debating my chocies on what to do this fox comes outa the woods and chills. kinda is watching me. The fox follows my car as i am backing up. It was really weird. i turned around and busted out my map on figureing out how to get back. then a plow truck pulls up and plows a path. yup talk about lucky. i mean the path was on the other side of the rd, but who cares im going over this damn mountain. yeah for me to go all the way around would have been like a 2 hr journey or something compared to the half hr i was looking at.
anyways this is the fox i was talking about. I am still driving at this point and im like ahhh damn i better go at least move the rabbit outa the rd. If the rabbit is in the rd how will the fox get to eat it. maybe drag it off, but with a chance at being hit also. Anyways as i am driving back twards the spot of my accident. I get this thought that maybe the rabbit was still alive or something. what if i have to kill it? i ask myself. This is not the case and well the rabbit is busted open in half. stinky! i pull over and try to think about what to do on how to move it. not exactly having the balls to just grab it bare handed. i mean what happens if it twictes or something. anyways now thinking i probly should have just grabbed it. to feel the death of a other being could have been good for me. i used a box that was in the car to scoop it up, move it outa the rd, and onto the shoulder. it sure did look nasty. I really hope something eats it and that rabbit does not go to waste. kinda was around where the fox and i met up that time.
