I was reflecting and wanted to take a minute here to shout out all the photographers that have like, edited peach fuzz off my vagina and who are actually an integral part of the person I am today, two years into my journey with SG. Thanks guys for the time and effort and love labors you have expended for me, and thanks for all you do for all of us.
@Shaine thanks for being the photographer who helped me go pink! I still remember the day you texted me and I was at work and had to go into a coat closet so I could be excited with you. We have a winning record, lady, and I hope you know the reason I never want to miss the chance to work with you is because you are important to me and I look up to/respect you more than you know.
@alissa drove up the side of a cliff in a desert for me, and that set is still one of my favorites EVER, just because it was such a profound experience. I told my mom I was going to the art museum with a friend, when we visited Arizona for my little cousin's quincenera. I literally went from being naked on the side of a cliff to kissing my conservative Mexican grandmother in less than an hour. everyone wondered why I'd been gone so long. I said because I REALLY loved art since that was easier than explaining I'd been smoking weed and stripping in the middle of the Superstition Mountains.
@lady I have never been so sore after shooting as I was after our set but your commitment to getting every shot "just right" is really inspiring and you're so passionate about what you do! You're so goofy and working with you was such a fun experience. I remember that you had a light bulb moment and told me I just HAD to paint my nails silver. That level of attention to detail is so amazing to me. Every set you produce has this sense that you curated it with so much love and that's such a beautiful thing.
Obviously @smashbase is equally goofy and its so obvious how much you love being behind the camera; you are an artist in every sense of the word. I remember jumping so you could take photos that looked like we were standing in the air. You thought it was so funny and I thought it was funny how funny YOU thought it was! I had also never shot with a man before and you made it so comfortable and easy. I appreciated that so much and still do. I would recommend you to my own sister. But I probably won't because she's a huge bible-thumper and thinks I'm going to hell because my boobs are on the internet. So that would be awkward for everyone involved..
@milloux you are something else. Like literally you are larger than life. You're a Helen-of-Troy-esque figure in the sense that you are beautiful and enchanting and ethereal to be around, and the way you see us through your lens is so unique. If you lived in 11th century Greece maybe the gods would war over you. I could see it! I was so intimidated by you at first but you are so chill (pun intended) and so down to earth. You take photos like breathing air. Like you were born doing it. It's amazing. And you're so fucking sexy and I cant even elaborate on that, you're just so sexy... that's it.
@anemona you are one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and your soft-spoken, patient, kind, open personality is a light. I loved every second I got to spend with you and someday I will see you again and kiss your face! I love when sets have photos in them that I can look at and remember the exact moment it was taken, and I remember laughing so hard at one point, and you took the photo of me smiling and it will always make me happy to look at!
And also @liryc because even though we still have a few months to go before we can submit I want you to know I think you are so talented, and you remind me of this friend I had when I was younger who was literally good at EVERYTHING she did because she never did anything she wasn't passionate about! Working with you was such a pleasure and I really felt so pretty the whole time which is a testament to how encouraging and special you really are. I'm so happy you started shooting and I'm so inspired by you!
SO yeah. Each and every one of you is beautiful inside and out, and the fact that you commit yourselves to making the girls on this site feel beautiful too speaks volumes to you and your character. I love you and I'm grateful to you. You make this little SG world a better place and the rest of the world by extension. Every young woman who realizes they're beautiful because one of you captured the right moment or set of moments is a life you changed and you make me proud to be a Suicide Girl!!
