So I don't blog too often, but when I do it's because I've had things on my mind for so long and I just have to share them with you guys!
Recently I found out I'm going to be heading to LA this summer and I'm still so shocked and confused and grateful for the amazing opportunities I've been granted by this community. I think that @rambo and @lyzxen and all the girls at HQ in LA are the obvious force that makes the wheels of this organization go 'round and I feel like we're all pretty fucking lucky that they care as much as they do. I have never been to California, or the West coast at all, so I'm being such a little dork about it! If anyone has any good swimwear company recommendations I am currently taking those too (because obviously my pale little Northeastern ass needs an upgrade for the poolside in LA đź‘™)!
Second, I have a set coming out in two weeks that is really important to me. It was shot in Montreal by @shaine, who did a truly beautiful job shooting, sorting and editing the images. There is not a single photo in the entire set that I am not IN LOVE with. Much like Donald Trump's children: "there's not a loser in the bunch." And that can be said about pretty much everything @shaine and I have done together.
Also! I'm planning to attend the Bernie talk and rally and the University of Buffalo, this upcoming Monday! So if any of you will be present, hit me up beforehand! I'll be there with my friends and with the boy. I'm so excited about that man and honestly even if he does not win the nomination I still feel like it's so cool that we got to be alive at such a historical moment. I volunteer for his campaign, so if anyone is looking for ways to help or get involved please do contact me!!!!
Finally, I wanted to express my gratitude toward @drawingfromusic who legitimately went out of his way to help create a networking opportunity for me, here in Buffalo. I am an art history major, and the academic side of art is really my passion. He was able to give me contact information for a local curator and hopefully I will be setting something up with her in the coming days. I'm graduating in less than a year, and the world beyond my undergrad is something that is so scary to me. I have had people in my life who simply don't care, or fail to appreciate how important my education is to me, and I can't believe how a stranger understood my ambition so easily and compassionately. So, thanks friend. This community has such amazing potential and we can all help each other so much! There is so much to be gained from simply reaching out to people, and accepting others and what they have to offer.
I feel so happy to be alive right now! I'm sorry for being so corny but I really am. I can't remember the last time I felt so optimistic!!
I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!! Xoxoxo
