So, KC area hopeful and good buddy Madilynn told me about this "modeltographer" named Azera. Over the span of one short week, Madilynn had shot with her twice, absolutely loved working with her...and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her as a person to boot (Madilynn has a very good bullshit detector, so I trust her opinion.) Soon after, I receive a message from Ms. Azera on my Zivity Wall, stating what a fan she was of the set Madilynn and I did together, and that she hoped to work with me soon.
Flash forward one week and I find myself cursing google maps as I try and navigate the scary terrain that is BFE Kansas (Madilynn's phrase and very apt). Once I arrive at Azera and her hubby's place, we spend so much time chatting about our mutual love for all things Canon (I shoot with the MKII; she has the MKIII...SO jealous).....; trading tips on shooting outdoors; drooling over each others' lens collection; sharing stories about the perils of internet modeling and photography; perving over photos of models each of us has shot....that we ALMOST forget to do our own shoot!!!
We continued to yak it up all the way through shooting....and made some kick ass images as well as a set that will soon be on Zivity. Here's an image from our work that day:

Madilynn was right; Azera is an absolute doll..."a big hearted chick with balls of steel." I look forward to working with her again soon.
