(Yeah, yeah, more unimaginative x-posting)
...And that's another weekend gone. Why can't they be longer? Is time to do fun stuff and relax too much to ask for? *sigh*
Friday continued to be ace. I lost 5.3kg last month (yay for mouth surgery!), and I discovered that I can still get my tongue ring in, despite it having been out for weeks. I've been celebrating by eating crap food ever since. Back on the Diet Wagon tomorrow. Honest.
Went for a wander down to the local motorbike shop on Saturday. I've been eyeing off a shiny new Virago they've had on display in town for ages (in the National Bank, of all places). Unfortunately, it was locked in said bank for the weekend, but they did have a second hand 2001 V-Star, which Mr. A was kind enough to test ride for me. It's very, very nice. Of course, he informed me that it was crap. But since he's adamant that I should get a sports bike, that's hardly surprising. He did, however, concede that the cruiser suited me when I sat on it, which was very sweet of him. Super Moto generally make me stabby, so I doubt I'll be handing wads of cash to them when I have it, but it was a fun way to kill some time.
Spent Saturday afternoon perched atop a trail bike, riding figure-eights around Mr. A's Nan's back yard. Thankfully it's a big back yard, and I'm not as useless with manual vehicles as I seem to remember. I didn't hit anything, or break either the bike or myself, which I thought was impressive. And it was great to have a refresher on how to ride before the training/testing days next weekend. There's life in this Transport plan yet.
Saw the new Harry Potter movie on Saturday night. It was...schmeh. I preferred it to the book, but only because it wasn't as frustratingly depressing. Usually I'm unimpressed when directors fail to capture the mood of a book, but this time around it may have been a saving grace. Order of the Phoenix was an over-long, filler-style book with no plot and far too much whiny teenage angst. The movie, while it lacks passion, is much the same, but thankfully it's only 2 hours long and some of the special effects are neat. Oh yeah, and Hermione got hot. I'm not going to mention how furious Helena Bonham Slutface Carter made me as Bellatrix Lestrange. No, let's just keep thinking happy Hermione thoughts, shall we..?
Slept in until nearly Midday today, which was lovely, but put me behind. Plans for more bike riding, role-playing, and general mischief went out the window in favour of flailing and procrastinating for 4 hours and then watching some movies. I went for a walk to the shops. I did a load of washing. I got underfoot and complained about having no time, while wasting all of the time I had. You know, generally being contrary and a complete pain in the arse to live with. Today, unlike yesterday was a total write-off. Not because I was too busy, but because I was in a terrible mood. Who knows? Maybe I was making up for all the angst that was missing in OotP? Or maybe I'm just a shit head. Either way, my deepest apologies to those who had to put up with me. I'm sorry.
Tomorrow is a new day. One filled with work, I expect. But for now, sleep.
