Yay. I got the bandaging and stitches removed from my leg today, so I got to see the first glimpse of the results of the knee reconstruction (11 days ago).
Not nearly as bad as I thought it would look. Almost disappointing, really. The band aid is right at the bottom of the knee cap, so you can see that the knee itself is still quite swollen.
I have a couple of interesting bruise lines below my ankle, too, and my foot is half green/yellow on top. I guess that's from the swelling as well, which, until maybe yesterday, has been persistent over my entire lower leg and foot.
At least I've been able to walk without crutches for about a week, but it gets more comfortable every day. Just can't bend my leg much (I'd guess about 60 degrees), which makes sleeping in particular really difficult. I think I keep trying to bend my legs in my sleep and each time I do I wake up cos it's pretty uncomfortable. Which means I've been waking up every 10-20 mins or so for the first few hours then by about 3am I'm getting really tired so I'm able to stay asleep until about 5 or 6am, and then i can doze again for another hour or two after that.
Physio starts tomorrow morning so hopefully I can get the swelling right down and get some motion back in my knee. Ahh, wouldn't it be lo-ver-ly.

Your leg sounds really painfull what did you do?
I actually really like ska I love bands like King Prawn and No Comply but Less Than Jake efectivly have one song. Dropkick Murphys are Irish fusion punk which in theory should have been great, but it umm wasn't
