I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship....

I took another walk along the seafront last night. Walked to the marina. Waved at folk on the mini 'volk' railway and had a great time. Stopped on the way back for a smoke of my pipe, only to find that my zippo was empty.

Walked back into town, and got stopped by some girls outside a bar. Asked me what I was listening to...Said MIles Davis. Started chatting and explained there had been an Anti Fascist Rally in the centre of Brighton earlier. Said there was a gig inside 'love music, hate racism', asked me to join them and meet their friends. Went inside and was greeted by a girl on the violin playing a folk version of 'daddy was a bankrobber'was an interesting take on it and took me a few seconds to grasp what it was. Good though. Got chatting to folk, got bought drink, although was mainly on the cokes. Really interesting bunch. Explained that I was new to Brighton so they made me feel welcome. One girl ran off with my camera, came back after taking some weird photos...funny though! So Im going to the theatre tomorrow, moving into my new home tonight, and I got contacted about a job - not holding my breath, but something has to happen!

Life is pretty cool right now!
