ack.
i am in dublin/pleasanton all week. i am have been very lucky getting there in good time. today was thirty-five minutes. the heat is on tho. 580W was hotter than i have ever seen it. cops pulling people over like candy from a bowl. a roller hwo i had seen earlier followed someone into the parking lot. coulda been me. on the way out they got one of the trucks from where i park right before the on ramp. coming around the curve right before stonebridge i was doing eighty passing a gaggle of large trucks and dumb drivers i noted the parked roller a 1/4 mile up. made the speed change and he started before i got to where he was. he got a commuter and the another mile away they had one of those sneaky roller with no top lights!
not to mention just to get out of pleasantoon was under forty till castro valley. ack it killed me. it was thick all the way home. nobody paying attention. i saw a couple of near misses. i almost got nailed by non watching idjiots. ACK!
traffic just kills me. i have to go there four more times this year and hopefully will be precluded after that for many a year to come.
so the nonsense continued all the way into the city, face to face, and twice...
my solution? brother-in-laws bbq! brisket in hot sauce, baked beans, cornbread muffins so soft and moist and peach cobbler stuffed into a styrofoam cup just like everything else they have.
i saw a flyer on some car today but it was in the middle of an altercation so i neglected to snag it. soulfood! chicken fried smothered porkchops! food makes me feel better. today for lunch i had red beans and rice that i made with chicken breasts. that definitely made a difference in my surly mood.
of course the fact that i woke up too late for coffee this morning might have had something to do with it...
shame on me. up by 7 and out the door by 715... usually it is up by 3 and out by 530am... poeple are getting sick around me and i don't want to get what ever they get.
time to play guitar.
aloha,
