So, what's been going on since my last entry...?
My weekend kicked ass. It was nice to relax after a really stressful week last week. The weather was beautiful (until late Sunday afternoon). I had a chance to read another book, Anansi's Boys by Neil Gaiman (yes, I'm a geeky bookworm who reads 2 books a week, no need to tell me ). It was fluff, and a bit less imaginative than some of his other books, but still quite enjoyable. Gaiman always tells a good story, and his characters are really likable.
I've started to plan a Masquerade party with my roommates. We threw a really good one at the old Gold Star Sardine Bar last year around this time, but I was actually in Africa and missed it. Any ideas for theme, band, etc. would be most appreciated so let me know!
I'm very excited that my White Sox are in the playoffs. I am a southsider at heart (lived there for 8 years when I forst came to Chicago).
Other than that, things are quiet, which is never a bad thing. With the exception of reading a few strange ex-GF/stalker emails my week will hopefully be spent planning the rest of my vacation and spending some time with my college roommate, Jon (visiting from Cali). He's been giving me some interesting updates on the cool tech research he does out there. Quantum computing and organic video displays = cool!
Enjoy the summer while it lasts!
