Time for a new blog, been a long ass time. Work has been ridiculously busy (don't I say this every time?), but I've still managed to squeeze in some fun things (A few SG events, a few concerts (Juliette and the Licks, Chemlab, Tegan & Sara, Tori Amos), mostly by foregoing sleep. BUT, last night I slept for 10 hours (1st time over 6 in 3 weeks or so) and my vacation starts Thursday (if you call running a marathon a vacation, although it will be warm) so I have nothing to complain about.
Been a little depressed lately as it's been too long since I've had real feelings for a woman. Lots of dating, but it's left me feeling more alone than anything else. I am a hopeless romantic, but I honestly don't know if I am capable of love/trust like I used to be. Too jaded, but I certainly don't think I'm alone in that.
I just finished the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. Really, really good fun for people of all ages. The movie of the first book, The Golden Compass, premieres in a few weeks, and while I think it'll make a great movie, they can't possibly not water down the undertones in the novels. It's one of the strongest indictments of organized religion that I've ever read, which appeals to me, but certainly not to the mainstream.
Big game for da Bears this Sunday, which I think will either start or end the season for them. Too bad they don't have a running back, but hey the Giants don't either.
Well that's all the non-news that's fit to print, be good folks.
