I really want to know what makes kids these days tick about what is cool and what is not. I was standing outside this venue in San Louis (S.L.O.) called the SLO Brewing CO. and these kids half my age were making fun of the way I dressed and spoke. They werent just whispering it ether. It was flat out like, look at the guy in the dumb hat and fag sweater. I wasnt there to make a fashion statement. I was there to sell Merch for theSTART and to dance with Tsunami Bomb. Well... heres where my story takes a turn and the kids start kissing my ass. The frontwoman of Tsunami Bomb shows up and says hello to my pal and I. The kids stop talking. Then theSTART shows up and we walk right into the venue to set up Merch and the talk starts up again, thats not fuckin cool. So were inside getting drinks and putting up shirts. The doors open an hour later and the kids march in. Those very same kids that were talking shit and now asking how I knew this and that band and why I looked so much like this or that member. What was my reply? You got ten bucks? Buy this record. I really dont understand kids. If your a no one they will hate your guts, but the second they figure you have some tie in or have some star worthy ties, your the shit! And another thing. You dont find that kind of attitude all that much here Los Angeles. Its usually the Im hotter then thou attitude. But you hardly ever hear the shit they say right in front of you. We LA kids at least have the respect of letting our shit be heard through the grape vine. I dunno... okay, were all assholes. But fuckin hell. *sings* hush hush, keep it down now... Voices carry!
