Well, I was just feeling all wistful... One of my best friends just blew through town Thursday night and I got to see her for a few hours at the Bungalow (yeah, same peeps who own the one in NYC). So, I just thought I post some pictures of people I miss...
That's me & Pam at the Bungalow on Thursday night *sigh* I sat with my arms around her waist, resting my head on her shoulder for at least half the night, cuz I knew she and her husband Tommy were leaving the next morning on a 6am flight back to FLA.
That's her husband Tommy, on the right. I may go visit them when it gets colder than a witch's teet here in Chicago, sometime early next year. Sitting next to him on the left is Tim, computer guru-hacker extrodinaire.
That's me & my friend Wendy at a recent BBQ at the home in which I will soon be living come December.
That's my friend Cathy, who I stayed with in Vegas, and who I did a foot fetish shoot with while there. Goofy. More on that later.
I stayed with her until my friend Michael came to pick me up and we hit the road for Burning Man... our first date! Whatta helluva first date - Burning Man! Won't ever forget that one.
Those two are of me & Michael in center camp at Burning Man.
That is The Man - I miss Black Rock City
That's me outside Art Bar, one of the coolest little underground bars in Vegas, with happy hours every night from 4-7pm. On Main Street, just past the pseudo-wannabe-Landmark-Hotel Stratosphere.
Okay, 'nuff for now... I'm feeling melancholy today and just wanted to see some pictures of my friends when I come here, in order to cheer me up. Listening to Psychocandy by the Jesus and Mary Chain prolly isn't helping...

anyhoo, nice to see mo'photos of yr. life. as far as your "first date" is concerned, i think i need to say another thing here. when embarking upon a new relationship that basically starts at burning man, it is of PARAMOUNT importance that you do not confuse the issues. it's very easy for a person to seduce someone by bringing them to black rock, so you end up equating your prospects for love and happiness with that person with the experience you've just shared with him/her. trouble is that relationships, it's important to remember, ain't like your virgin burn, and i know of too many examples of wishful thinking that started on the playa, and ended badly, than i can go into here. so just keep your feet on the ground regarding the future with this person.
as for the rest, i figure i'll e-mail you a bit later r-garding all that. ta-ta. haven't listened to J&MC for years, though it was kind of a mind-blow to see bill murray drive to the tokyo international airport with "just like honey" playing in the background at the end of "lost in translation." it all reminds me of how old i've become...
