Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeearing up!
Very exciting things are shaping up for Burning Man!!!! Talked to the head of my Flaming Mutant Vehicle crew today and we'll be meeting sometime in early February to get that ball rollin'.
A DJ I produce shows with is a longtime burner hooked in with Burning Man organizers (through family ties). I'm meeting with him tonight to work on plans for a party we're producing on Mar. 4 in Chicago featuring Bassnectar.
He & I are also puttin' our big noggins together and coming up with a theme camp - he's got a great idea and between the two of us, we'll make sure it happens!
I move this weekend and I am not ready... nor have I ever been ready any time I've moved. After I'm settled a bit in my new abode, I'll start getting rid of a lot of stuff. I was hoping to do that pre-move, but it never works that way with me, for some reason.
Luckily, looks like my soon-to-be-ex roommate will be buying some of my furniture off me, which is a relief. I'm leaving a lot in that apartment and will be going back periodically over the first few weeks of February to tie up loose ends.
I'm traveling to Milwaukee on the 31st - my first inking session with sillytattoonuts for my fire horse tattoos!!! all a'twitter!

twas a good year noh?
I've yet to go to a burning man...though I've pondered it since just before 99 was born. I have several friends who have been part of it for years..however, at this point, I feel that doing so would further dilute the FAMILY that it has become...ya know...if I wasn't there in the beginning for the magic...then I'm just another person away from it becoming commercialised. I have to much respect for the concept to do it to it...
