I can't do this by myself.
I desperately need some relationship advice and not the kind of advice I can get on the internet. My situation is much too complicated to explain in full, and all I get from friends and coworkers is conflicting advice based on their own past relationships.
I'm seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist right now, and she has been very helpful with my anxiety issues and helping me to recognize my maladaptive thought patterns, but I feel like this kind of therapy is going to take years to help me with my current relationship problems.
Has anyone tried therapy and found it helpful? I was thinking maybe I should be seeing an MFT, someone that specializes in relationships and has more direct advice for me.

Yeah and my would have been 6 year anniversary with my ex is coming up and I have no idea what to do with myself that day. I don't want to be here. I want to sleep through it, pretend it never came. I have school so that should help, but oh man I'm gonna have to get hammered that night.
I decided I must include something positive in every blog from now on because it is so damn difficult for me to think positively! So...
-I'm graduating in May! I will have a BA in Psychology, and I'm in an accelerated program so next year I go to grad school for one year to get my MA in Infant Mental Health. Pretty sweet, eh?
Yeah so that's all I can think of that is positive at the moment....do you have any idea how hard it is to not go off on a pessimistic rant every time I type?!?!
Did you know they make mini pigs now?! Cute as fuck but it just seems wrong.
