As the latest casualty of a failing economy and job market I'm now roughly $8000 in debt.
I'm getting laid off in a month and if I want the $2500 severance check I can't look for another job (They pretty much told everyone they'd fire you for taking time off for interviews, etc.) and I did have a job lined up, but that fell through because they can't hire anymore people because of said shitty economy.
And I'm sure with record numbers of people filing for unemployment those checks aren't as cushy as they used to be.
This also means no school in the fall, no moving out until God knows when, and all vacation plans are canceled (A trip to Florida and a trip to see Nine Inch Nails this summer).
I need a drink, but damn I can't afford it.
