On the urging of Karebear I have updated my journal. Let me bring you all up to speed.
First off i got my letter from Civil Service about the fire department saying that I'm all set and am just waiting to be called to the academy. You see, alittle over a year ago the entrance exam was offered for the fire department in my area so I took it and passed. From there i was called back to take the agility/physical. Passed that then was called back again to do a sit down interview with some people from the city. So I got my letter like a week ago saying I'm all set and have passed everything. So hopefully in January when they start calling people i will get called for the first round hires. A year and a half is a long time to wait on something like that but its a good solid job and i have the option of retiring in 20 years with my pension. Retiring at 44 just doesnt seem wrong.
Hmmm... what else... OH, a loft apartment became available near me for $25,000. Thats amazing but why so low you ask? Its in a bad area of town. Go figure. So im alittle bummed about that. I so would of got it without even thinking twice if it was in a more decent area. But I still have some traveling to do so i guess a place to stay isnt one of my top priorities at this time. Living at home for free can be a pain in the ass but free always evens it out.
Speaking of traveling, I might be going back to Argentina next month for a week or 2. Not sure yet. Hopefully it wont cost me too too much cause i still want to either goto Beijing or London at the end of Jan or early Feb. I'm kinda leaning more towards London. I might wanna do China when its a bit warmer.
Hmmm... what else? OH, I saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre tonight. Amazing. All i have to say. It was no where near as gory as the first one but the story was told great.
But thats pretty much it. A few other odds and ends but nothing to major or anything i really wanna relay in a journal. I live a pretty boring life by most standards. And in case you were still wondering, work is still "ugh" and some people are still being jerks. But what else is new?
