got a scam email thru yesterday from someone pretending to be the british national lottery saying I had won 121,000 quid....looked very credible as it had some very priviate information on it.....was a total scam...but for a few seconds it was nice to think that it was true

Glad you liked the pic. This is the new camera (well second-hand from e-bay). Sony DSC-P5. 3.2 mp. 3x optical zoom. Good lens. Easy to use. Poor battery life. Finally decided to upgrade slightly coz I wanted a zoom.

We were up there to do an Anglo Saxon battle re-enactment at the Glasgow Garden Festival. We were sleeping in a YMCA or some such place. We went out on the first evening walked about in search of an off licence, found one bought some beer and we opened a tinny each and got arrested for drinking on the streets! This was long before it was commonplace that drinking on the street is illegal.
The police let us go when they realised we were totally unaware of the law.

i saw Douglas Adams talking about the future once and he had this huge magazine from the 50's of what they thought it would be like and it was all silver pants and bubble cars and stuff and he said there's something not shown in here that they missed...something obvious that everyone has but they didnt think of in the 50s..know what it was... a computer, nowhere was it mentioned.
